The Schuylkill Canal Classic is back for a second year! We heard your feedback and will have a shorter race course and more time between each round of races. This is a fundraiser event for the Schuylkill Canal Association. The event is planned for Monday August 15 from 1:30 to 8:30 PM at the Fitzwater Station in Port Providence, PA. Use this is the page to register a team for the canoe race, become a sponsor, and/or register a dunk tank participant. Separate registration is required for the canoe race, sponsorship, and dunk tank.
The canoe race is limited to one two-person team per establishment. Registration will close at 11:59 PM on Sunday August 14, 2022 or when 16 teams have registered. Each team registration includes a t-shirt for each member and one for the establishment. Canoes, paddles, and life jackets are included with registration. The canoe race is a double elimination, blind draw tournament. Each race will last approximately 8 minutes and be an out and back course. Canoe race participants will be required to sign a release of liability waiver.
Sponsorship includes a logo on the event t-shirt and event banners, one t-shirt provided to each sponsor. We will provide an email address for logos upon completion of sponsorship information. Sponsorship information must be received by August 8, 2022 to be included on promotional material.
Dunk tank participants should be willing to spend approximately 30 minutes in the dunk tank. Dunk tank participants will be required to sign a release of liability waiver.
A DJ will be providing music during the event.
